I teach courses in four main areas:
- British and Irish literature from the eighteenth century to the present, with emphases on Romantic literature, Jane Austen, and James Joyce;
- The history and future of the book;
- Digital methods for literary studies, including quantitative and creative responses to texts; and
- Bookmaking and book arts.
I have consolidated my online teaching materials into Connections: A Hypertext Resource for Literature, which combines introductory information on literary analysis, advice on writing and research, catalogs of links, and current and former course materials.
